Whether your event is an office happy hour, a seated dinner celebrating your engagement, or a press event for a new brand, customizing your food and beverage menu is a surefire way to impress and delight your guests. Here at Relish Catering + Hospitality, we love working with clients and planners to incorporate personalized touches into the menu.
One example of just how custom your menu can be with Relish is the launch of White Claw 0% Alcohol Premium Seltzer at Bathhouse Studios. As the exclusive partners for the Bathhouse Bar program, Relish created a custom bar package featuring White Claw products. Three specialty cocktails were featured using White Claw Vodka and Seltzers, the fan favorite being a Mango Mule!
For the food menu, the planning team wanted to highlight two things – the “ZERO” part of 0% alcohol seltzer and the flavors of the new non-alcoholic seltzers. To highlight the former, we worked to create a menu of both our circular food items (like that round 0!) and items that featured a “zero” such as zero meat or zero gluten. Our “Zero Gluten & Meat” Chioggia Beet Chip with fava bean hummus featured a bright pink circle of beet and was an easy first selection. The Mozzarella and Parmesan Arancini, as spheres with Zero meat, provided two opportunities to fit the theme, and the Steak Frites, with their round crispy potato cup topped with pepper crusted beef and shallot jam rounded out the round savory selections. And for dessert, Petite Pavlovas! Light spheres of meringue topped by fresh berries and cream.
The other important highlight was flavors. Relish flavor-matched the menu of passed Hors d’oeuvres to the four flavors of the new White Claw 0% Premium Seltzer – Black Cherry Cranberry, Lime Yuzu, Peach Orange Blossom, and Mango Passionfruit. For the Black Cherry Cranberry, we selected a Duck Rillette Fritter with cranberry and rosemary. The Maine Lobster with pickled mango, set on little rice rounds (with that little round 0 echoed again!), matched the Mango and Passionfruit flavor. Lime Yuzu was an easy choice, with Relish’s Sesame-crusted Tuna with a bright yuzu aioli and radish salad. Even the passed desserts were included, with the ever so popular Mont Blanc featuring orange Chantilly cream and a chestnut puree to match the Peach Orange Blossom flavor.
The cherry on top was Relish’s handmade, foraged wood trays carefully selected to match the circular theme – round wooden oval trays with colorful round spheres, trays painted our signature Relish Green with circular cutouts, and long oval wooden trays with half spheres topped by Hors D’oeuvres were passed through the night. Putting these personalized details into our menus is one of our favorite things to do here at Relish. It lends your event that extra special touch that guests can appreciate all a-“round”!
