Join us in welcoming Director of Sales, Ossie Saquicela to Relish Catering + Hospitality, he brings a wealth of experience and passion for the industry.
Born and raised in Ecuador, Ossie made his way to the United States when he was 12 years old. He studied Computer Technology, later finding himself giving Real Estate try, but ultimately found a love of the Food + Beverage Industry!
Beginning his career as a waiter, and working his way into top management roles, allowed him to understand the business from every angle. After some time, Ossie realized that special events are where he was meant to be – His keen eye for detail, coupled with the desire to create everlasting memories for clients, was his passion and this passion continues today.
After 30 years in the industry, he still stands true to something his mentor taught him early on, “We are only as good as our last event! It is our opportunity to make an unforgettable first impression to everyone there and to exceed on the promise we make our clients.”
Ossie is a true ‘Foodie,’ always exploring new cuisines with new inspirations for taste and presentation. In his free time, aside from discovering new restaurants, he is an avid traveler with his daughter. From snorkeling in the Galápagos Islands to hiking up to the glacier near the top of a volcano, the World has so much to offer – If you can’t find him in NYC, he might be on a plane to his next adventure!
In his new role, Ossie is most looking forward to continuing to create everlasting memories for clients with Relish, as well as giving back to support the local community, and play a key part in Relish’s sustainability practices.
