At Relish Catering + Hospitality, we believe that exceptional events are made possible by exceptional people — our event with Covenant House New York in May is a perfect example, thanks to the incredible work of our Catering Specialist, Spencer Kondak.
Relish has partnered with Covenant House New York (CHNY) since 2021. CHNY is dedicated to getting unhoused Youth off the street. In addition to providing shelter, they have classes in Music, Art, and Job-readiness. CHNY supports LGBTQ+ youth, people of color, immigrants, people with mental health struggles and survivors of human trafficking. As a company that values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Relish is proud to contribute to CHNY’s monthly meal drops, fundraisers, and other events.
The event took place during May, Mental Health Awareness Month in partnership with Republic Records, and Spencer led the charge in supporting a vibrant community event that received glowing praise from attendees. From start to finish, her thoughtful approach, creative flair, and calm, can-do attitude elevated every aspect of the evening. Whether it was warmly greeting guests with drinks at the door, plating meals for staff and youth performers, or turning a box of Krispy Kremes into an eye-catching “CH” display, Spencer ensured every detail was handled with care and intention.
The response? Overwhelmingly positive. Guests raved about the food, the service, and the welcoming atmosphere — a reflection of Spencer’s attention to both quality and experience. Her ability to anticipate needs, stay flexible during planning, and go the extra mile on site made the entire process not just smooth, but genuinely enjoyable for everyone involved.
