Relish Catering + Hospitality was thrilled to play a pivotal role in the highly anticipated Opening Nights for Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, hosted at the August Wilson Theater. This re-imagined, immersive revival, featuring actors Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin, was brought to New York from London, promising an unforgettable theatrical experience for theatergoers.
Over the course of two enchanting evenings, more than 2,000 guests were captivated by the electric performances and the nostalgic ambiance of the Kit Kat Club. As the final curtain fell, guests were whisked into the theater’s bars, where our attentive staff greeted them with trays of delectable hors d’oeuvres. Options included petite Lobster Rolls, Mac N’ Cheese bites topped with truffle, colorful Buffalo Chicken Pops, Spring Pea Arancini, and innovative, vegetarian BBQ “Pulled Pork” Sliders made with tofu skin as a meatless alternative.
Meanwhile, in the mezzanine and orchestra, thousands of miniature Moet champagne bottles made their way into guest’s hands, topped with sippers to allow for frivolous “straight out of the bottle” drinking as the revelry continued. Friends and family of the cast crowded around the stage for congratulations and the stairs were filled with guests flowing out into the night, stopping along the way at trays of champagne and hors d’oeuvres.
The magic followed guests into the refreshing night air as they were greeted by a gelato cart on the red carpet outside the theater. Six customs flavors such as Bing Cherry Cheesecake and Blood Orange Vegan Sorbet awaited as sweet treats to end the night complemented by opportunities for guests to capture their own red-carpet moments in photographs.
