Just as southern strawberries begin to reenter the market, up here in the chilly Northeast, Relish is celebrating Valentines Day with strawberries making their way up from down south. Florida imports great strawberries all winter long, second to Watsonville in California. Though nothing can beat local grown, strawberries, in the peak of summer. Here we stuff these jumbo beauties with olive oil whipped sheep’s milk ricotta, marinate the berries with a rich balsamic reduction and top with fresh toasted salted pistachios.
